Theresa May As Minister of Home Affairs

In his last election, in May, May won the Maidenhead seat in a landslide, with 2 times the gain of his opponent Liberal Democrats.

That same year, he was appointed British Minister of the Interior. In a profile on his personal website, May plays a leading role in the government to free police in fighting more effective crimes, securing borders and reducing immigration, and protecting Britain from terrorism.

May is known to be the longest-serving Briton who has occupied the seat of the Home Secretary of Britain, where he incised important records.

He persistently rejected the US request to extradite a hacker suffering from Asperger while he 'kicked' away an extremist Abu Hamza from his country despite the man applying for human rights.

Senior security sources say May's track record is even more impressive than his public-looking work.

"He has thwarted many terror plans, more than you know," the source told The Daily Beast.

An official at the Interior Ministry also raised his voice. He praised May's quality, calling it a remarkable decision maker.

"No matter what advice he gets, he hardly ever makes a mistake," the official said.

Prime Minister Theresa May has a three-day official visit to China since Wednesday, January 31, 2018, to discuss strategic cooperation plans between the two countries.

However, the official visit clearly shows Britain's attempt to get Free Market deals with the world's largest populated country.

By the end of 2017, Britain has only 3 percent of total exports of goods and services to China. The trade value between the two countries is around Rp 1,130 trillion. The amount is much smaller than the trade value between China and Germany, which is worth about Rp 28,000 trillion.

"The good relationship between us is not only about trade, but also efforts to increase cooperation in education and culture," said Prime Minister Theresa May to President Xi Jinping.

Agreeing with this, President Xi Jinping also called the official visit of the Royal representative to start a more positive relationship in the future.

"China is very open to various forms of positive cooperation with the UK," said President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Thursday, February 1, 2018.

Prime Minister Theresa says that once the UK is completely separated from the European Union, there will be many opportunities for more lucrative trade cooperation with each other.
